PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY

SAKATO is committed to providing high-quality commercial refrigeration equipment and after-sales support. This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions for warranty coverage on SAKATO products sold in Malaysia. By purchasing a SAKATO product, the buyer agrees to the following warranty terms.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

SAKATO warrants that its products will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal usage, subject to the limitations below.

Warranty applies to:

– Commercial Refrigerators

– Chillers / Freezers

– Open Showcase Display Units

– Under-Counter Refrigeration

– Island Freezers

– Showcase Units

WARRANTY PERIOD

– Compressor: 1 year from the date of purchase  

– Spare Parts & Components: 1 year from the date of purchase  

– Labour/Service: 1 year from the date of purchase

Note: Extended warranties may apply based on specific products or agreements stated in the official sales invoice.   

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

To maintain the warranty validity:

– Product must be used under normal operating conditions and as intended.

– Installation must be carried out by SAKATO-authorized technicians or qualified personnel.

– Routine cleaning and maintenance must be performed as recommended.

– Any service or repair must be done by SAKATO’s authorized service team.

WHAT IS COVERED

– Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

– Faults arising under normal usage and operation conditions.

– Technical assistance and on-site service (where applicable).

– Parts replacement as required under warranty.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does NOT cover the following:

– Damage due to misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper installation.

– Normal wear and tear (e.g. door gaskets, shelves, trays, light bulbs).

– Electrical damage caused by voltage spikes, unstable power supply, or lack of proper grounding.

– Damage due to mishandling during relocation or transport after delivery.

– Repairs or modifications done by unauthorized persons.

 – Damage from external factors like fire, flood, pests, or natural disasters.

– Failure caused by lack of routine maintenance or failure to clean condenser coils.

– Consumables and accessories not essential to unit performance. 

– Cosmetic damages (scratches, dents, etc.) not affecting performance  

CLAIM PROCEDURE

To request warranty service:

  1. Contact SAKATO Customer Service via phone or email.
  2. Provide:

   – Invoice / proof of purchase

   – Product serial number

   – Description of the issue (photos/video may be requested)

  1. Our technician will schedule an inspection or service visit.
  2. If the issue is covered under warranty, service and parts replacement will be provided free of charge.

*Service outside Peninsular Malaysia or required service out of operating office hour may be subject to additional logistics or transport fees.

WARRANTY LIMITATION & VOID CLAUSES

– Warranty applies only within Malaysia.

– Warranty is non-transferable and only valid for the original purchaser.

– Product relocation without prior written consent from SAKATO may void the warranty.

– Failure to follow usage guidelines or modify the product voids the warranty.
